About
BisKosmos is a creative universe built around photography, visual storytelling, and playful experimentation.
The name itself carries multiple layers of meaning.
It began with the idea of a biscuit — something crispy, varied, imperfect, and enjoyable. In the same way, creativity often starts from small fragments, spontaneous thoughts, unfinished sketches, and curious observations. BisKosmos embraces these “crumbs” of ideas and transforms them into images, stories, and creative projects.
The word bis also comes from Latin, meaning “twice” or “again,” reflecting repetition, reinterpretation, and the continuous process of creation. At the same time, bis carries another meaning in German: “until.” This became part of the philosophy behind the project — creating continuously, endlessly, until the edge of the cosmos.
Kosmos, the German word for cosmos, was chosen both for its poetic meaning and for its personal connection to founder Daniel De Pota. Germany played an important role in shaping Daniel’s creative path through his long relationship with the German language and his studies in Germany, marking the beginning of his creative journey and photographic practice.
BisKosmos exists between playfulness and reflection, between documentary observation and imagination. It is a space for photography, stories, visual experiments, and ideas that may begin as tiny crumbs, but grow into their own universes.
